What do you think is important for a client to look for in a therapist?
We think the most significant therapeutic factor for change for clients is the client-therapist relationship. Since it is in relationships that we are most wounded, it is also in relationships that we find the most healing. Also, working with a therapist who is committed to their own personal growth. We can’t take anyone anywhere we haven’t gone ourselves.

How does your faith play itself out in your work as a therapist?
Our faith in the God who has revealed himself in His creation and His Word is vital for how we practice therapy. It provides us with the lens through which we understand who we were made to be as humans. It informs the way we understand our client’s stories, feelings, needs, longings, and desires. We desire to keep one ear to the one who is in front of us and the other ear to the One who is above us.
